Policy / effective 28 August 2026
Privacy without fine print.
Restore Drill is designed not to receive your data.
The CLI
The CLI runs on your computer. It has no analytics, telemetry, account, advertising identifier, update beacon, or network service. Configuration, restored samples, and receipts stay in paths you control. The application does not collect file contents or passphrases.
This website
The website has no analytics, cookies, tracking pixels, third-party scripts, forms, or uploaded data. A service worker may keep public pages and the illustration in your browser cache so the guide works offline. You can clear that cache through your browser's site-data controls.
Our hosting infrastructure may process ordinary request information such as an IP address, requested path, and user agent for short-lived security and reliability logs. We do not combine those logs into user profiles or sell them.
Questions
Open a repository issue for a general question. Do not include backup paths, credentials, receipt files, or other private information. Use the repository's private security advisory feature for security reports.
